Just out of curiosity, how did Darkhood manage to “stumble upon” Leather’s electronics heist? A heist that needed to arrange a full sized eighteen wheeler and cargo cars inside a train that was leaving that night?

I guess he was just lucky.

Its a great comparison. And proof that lifestyle magazines are evil.

Sorry to bring up “sounding right” (I’ve been wrong in my assumptions here before), but Darkhood’s whole discussion of “speculators” clashes a bit in its topicality, making him sound like he spends his spare time reading Penny Arcade and Kotaku. The rest of his dialog is more in the timeless style.

Also, he’s trying to make the strong counterargument to Leather – a polemic, in essence. And delving into how that counterargument may or may not need to be qualified doesn’t really fit a polemic.

If I were to take one cent from every person in the US, I’d have a little over three million dollars. Does it really hurt anyone? No. It’s only a penny. I could put it in a savings account and live off the interest by taking a coin that would otherwise fall down in a couch and never be seen again. But does that make it right, or at least ‘not wrong’? Is there a difference?

Where do those pennies go, anyway? I sense a myth.
