You. NEED. To pitch this to somebody. This belongs illustrated and making waves as a serious graphic novel. You've already got a fanbase. You could get it in Dynamite, at the least, this sort of thing is RIGHT up their alley.

Damn you, Eric Burns.

That was exactly the kind of superhero story *I* wanted to write!

And you did it before I knew I wanted to write it!

And you did it better than I could have!

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!

I am now dying of envy, and plan to stick a straw in your brain and suck out all of that sweet, sweet creativity.

(I kinda liked the story a little bit, yeah)

It's almost sad that she's missed. Like, she was good and then decided that she wanted to be good for the press. It's all very almost... the end of a dream even as he retraces his steps.

I like this story.

I just powered through "Interviewing Leather" over the last couple of hours - it's a fantastic read, and the discussion of philosophies of superheroes/villains is fascinating.

I've also read the prologue to Justice Wing - I look forward to more.

I only got into the "superhero genre" lately, and things like this make me want to read so much more.

Interesting that “Meridian City is seven hours north, driving along the coast. About halfway there you hit Bay City.” Assuming that I’m guessing right about the rough bases for Meridian City and Bay City, that puts the origin point (whose name I can’t dredge up) right about at Newport News, which seems appropriate.

I'm really curious what your guesses are for Meridian City and Bay City, now.

Excellent story. Just to buck the trend, I probably would not buy the dead-tree version. *shrug* My reading habits being what they are, I prefer reading things online, particular short items like this where I can easily catch the periodic chapter. Something like LotR, I need a book so I can catch up at stoplights...

But good story. I know you're probably wanting to move on to something else, but I'm sure any number of rabid fans here would love it if you wrote further adventures soon. ^_^

Wow. That was amazing. 10 lbs of amazing in a 5 lb bag. Yes, I would pay money to own a permanent copy of this.

Bravo.

I was also wondering if these took place in the same 'verse as the Home Front Stories, so thanks for clearing that up.

My god that was brilliant. I would slay a forest to get this in print. Darkhood is almost the male superhero version of Leather. And Chapman associates Bad Religion with Leather, that was almost the first musical connection I made. Brilliant.
