Schedule

Banter Latte’s going to try to adhere to certain schedules, mostly so that I have that visceral joy of having regularly updating content. Mostly, this means that I’m going to schedule stuff as it comes out of my head, so that rather than flooding content on one day and going silent the next, it’ll come out slowly and naturally. Like churning butter, without the disturbing connotations for the Amish.

Here’s the basic schedule of events!

Mondays: Open: The Mythology of the Modern World
A whimsical look at modern mythologies, mostly made up on the spot under the influence of heavy caffeine.
Tuesdays: Random
Right now, Tuesdays are chaotic days. There might be a post soliciting conversation, there might be poetry, there might be some dumbass post just for the Hell of it — it’s impossible to say! And, of course, there might not be anything at all.
Wednesdays: Justice Wing
Stories of the Justice Wing and their world. Superheroic in bent, looking at the conventions of superheroes without either too much or too little reverence. Sometimes funny, sometimes not.
Thursdays: Random
Just like Tuesdays but with a softer opening syllable!
Fridays: Storytelling
Vignettes, short stories and the occasional sequel tossed in. Anything from Mythic Heroes to The Old Ways to Gossamer Reflections to random stuff will show up here.
Weekends: Protected: The Novel Project
Whatever current novel project is being worked on (under a Chapter a Week principle) will put up the latest chapter. These will be protected, and so to read them, you will need the site password, which you can get from the link up above. Will not appear every weekend, because I have some life.
Weekends: Myth Calls and Audience Participation
Once a month we’ll solicit requests for new myths, which are used to form the Mythology of the Modern World. There are also sometimes other conversational topics posted.

Obviously, there are regular series that are going to be a part of the above. Right now, that consists of:

Open: The Mythology of the Modern World
Explained in its own entry.
Protected: Theftworld
Set in my semi-hard “Imperial Space” setting, Theftworld is the story of a voyage to redress a twelve hundred year old crime, for all the wrong reasons.
Open: Gossamer Reflections
While I haven’t gotten off my ass and written more Gossamer Commons of late, these are mostly autonomous stories set in the same world, meant to flesh out stories of the fairy world and the human world, generally in places other than Ithaca. So far this has included one story.
Open: Mythic Heroes
A second superheroic universe, starting with the Mystery Men of the 20’s through the 40’s and moving into the modern era and its superheroes. In some ways a replacement for the old Superguy stories I wrote.
Open: Justice Wing
 Explained in its own entry
